| Kilauea Lighthouse is a historic landmark and bird sanctuary perched on a narrow peninsula. The lighthouse was built in 1913 and boasts the largest clamshell lens in existence. The views from this bluff are spectacular. The peninsula is also home to the largest colony of seabirds in the main Hawaiian Islands. We highly recommend taking the guided hike into the bird refuge. | |
